Bhopal: CM Mohan Yadav on Friday said the establishment of regional forensic science laboratories in Rewa and Ratlam is a significant step towards making the state's justice system more efficient, accessible, and free from doubt. These labs, developed at a total cost of ₹13.50 crore, will facilitate the testing of toxicology, chemistry, and biology-related cases directly at crime scenes across Rewa, Satna, Singrauli, Maihar, Ratlam, Neemuch, and Mandsaur.
Yadav emphasised that the police, forensic science, and judiciary are key pillars of the justice delivery system. The more empowered these institutions are, the greater the safety and security for citizens, and the more effectively criminal activities can be controlled. He shared these views during the virtual inauguration of the regional forensic laboratories at Ratlam and Rewa from Samatva Bhavan in the chief minister's official residence.
Deputy CM Rajendra Shukla also joined the programme virtually. Present at the event were additional chief secretaries JN Kansotia and Rajesh Rajoura, DGP Police Kailash Makwana, and other senior officials.
