Dembele misses out on the sessionOusmane Dembele was absent from training in the French capital on Friday afternoon. The 27-year-old winger has suffered a hamstring injury, ruling him out of PSG's clash against Strasbourg.
An from the club has confirmed that Dembele is 'progressing well' and that 'further assessment will be carried out shortly'. Speaking to reporters, ahead of this weekend's match, Enrique was asked if the France international could miss the semi-final second leg against Arsenal.
The PSG boss kept his cards close to his chest. As quoted by French outlet , he replied: "Tomorrow, he won't play, that's for sure."
Kimpembe suffers another injuryPresnel Kimpembe was also absent from training. The 29-year-old centre-back who has only recently returned to action after suffering a nasty Achilles injury, is back on the side-lines with a foot injury.
An official statement from the club has confirmed: "[A] victim of bone edema in the second metatarsal of his right foot, Presnel Kimpembe will remain at rest for the next few weeks."
Speaking to reporters on Friday afternoon, as quoted by French outlet , Enrique went on: "I don't have that information. You have the medical report, I can't give any other type of information on that."
Youngster given chance to impressSenny Mayulu appeared to play a key role in training on Friday afternoon. The 18-year-old midfielder, who was on the subs bench at the Emirates Stadium for the first leg of their semi-final meeting, was the only player to play for either team in a small-sided drill.
Many of the squad either wore a green bib or a blue bib - or went without. Mayulu enjoyed spells on both teams, suggesting that he was the difference maker; the teenager will be hoping he's done enough to earn a place in the starting line-up this weekend.
Barcola in good spirits despite formBradley Barcola was in good spirits. The 22-year-old forward, who came on for Dembele in the final 20 minutes of the semi-final first leg, missed a gilt-edged opportunity against Arsenal on Tuesday night following brilliant passing sequence.
Speaking to reporters on Friday afternoon, Enrique leapt to Barcola's defence. The Spaniard said: "I don't look at the positives or the negatives.
"He's been involved in 35 goal-scoring attempts, he's the league's top passer, and also one of the best dribblers in Europe. He's extremely important and will be."
On Desire Doue, who's recently replaced Barcola in the starting line-up, Enrique added: "As the season progresses, the important thing is for the players to improve and contribute a lot to the team.
"It's not that Bradley is worse than at the beginning of the season or that Desire Doue is better.
"There's an evolution with ups and downs. The most important thing for me is that they show that every time they have the opportunity to participate as a starter or on the bench, they help the team.
"They are very young and need to go through a process to improve. There are many players in the team who have been, are and will be very important."
Donnarumma's role under threatIn an effort to displace Gianluigi Donnarumma from PSG's starting line-up, Matvey Safonov and Arnau Tenas aimed to impress Enrique in training. Unsurprisingly, the duo have deputised the Italy international for much of the season.
On Donnarumma, Enrique said: "We're at an extremely important point in the season where we've shown that we're a team. Even if you say that so-and-so is playing well, all players are criticized at some point, I support my team. There are rumors going around and they're often negative, I'm not going to take a position on the subject."
