JAC Board Exam 2026: The Jharkhand Board's upcoming exams are expected to see a major change. The board is preparing for this significant change. The 2026 Matriculation and Intermediate Board exams will not only ask traditional questions, but also include application-based questions. These will be skill-based questions. The purpose of such questions is to prepare students for competitive exams. The exam will include questions related to analytical skills, sensitivity, awareness, reasoning, and aptitude.
What will change?
This will allow students to be assessed at different levels. The JAC Board has made final preparations. Until now, the JAC board has used to ask questions based on the syllabus in different subjects, which often focused on memorization. This is now the time to change this, so that students emphasize understanding rather than memorization. For next year's exams, questions related to thinking skills and real-life applications will be included. This has been implemented in many other boards, including the CBSE.
Understand the 30-50-20 formula.
The 30-50-20 formula will be incorporated into questions for the 10th and 12th grade exams. Objective questions will carry three marks. Subjective questions will carry 50 marks, ranging from short to long-term (subjective) questions, while 20 marks will be awarded for practicals or internal assessment.
