Railway Vacancy 2025: There's great news for young people dreaming of a job in the Railways. The East Central Railway (ECR) is recruiting for 1,149 apprentice positions. Candidates will be selected based on a merit list, without any examination. Interested candidates can apply online through the official website, ecr.indianrailways.gov.in, until October 25, 2025.

Eligibility Requirements
Candidates must have passed Matriculation/10th grade or its equivalent examination from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% marks. Additionally, candidates must possess an ITI certificate (issued by NCVT/SCVT) in the relevant trade.
The minimum age limit is 15 years and a maximum of 24 years as of October 25, 2025. Age relaxation will be provided to reserved category candidates, which will be determined separately for each category.
How will the selection be conducted?
A merit list will be prepared for candidates applying for a particular division. This list will be based on the average of the percentage marks obtained in Matriculation (10th) and ITI examinations. Both marks will be given equal weightage.
The percentage will be calculated by calculating the total marks in all subjects in Matriculation. Marks in any one subject or group of subjects will not be considered as the basis.
