Lucknow University of UP has made a big announcement for the families of the victims of the Pahalgam attack. The Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Alok Rai has said that any member of the victim's family who wants to study any course from Lucknow University will not be charged any fee. Not only tuition fees but these students will also not be charged for hostel, mess, and books. All fees will be paid by the university.
A major terrorist attack took place on 22 April in Pahalgam of Anantnag district of Kashmir. The terrorists fired bullets at the tourists who had reached here, in which 26 people died. Lucknow University Vice Chancellor Prof. Alok Kumar Rai has condemned this incident. He expressed condolences to the victims' families and said that the university administration will bear all the expenses of the studies of anyone from these families who is willing to study at Lucknow University.
Initiative to take the affected people forward
The Vice Chancellor of Lucknow University said that this decision taken by the University for the affected families is a symbol of sympathy and solidarity towards those affected families. This is also an effort on the part of the University which will pave the way for the affected people to move forward through education.
