In today's era, converting paper documents into digital form not only creates a backup of your documents but also reduces the clutter of files in the home or office. Now there is no need for a big scanner for this. If you have an iPhone, then your iPhone itself is enough. On the iPhone, you can easily scan documents through the Notes or Files app. Let's know how...

Scan documents from the Notes or Files app
Open the Notes app and open a new or old note.
Tap on the paperclip icon at the bottom.
Select “Scan Documents”.
The camera interface will open.
Bring the document into the frame. In Auto mode, it will automatically take a photo.
Line up the next page, and that too will be automatically scanned.
How to scan from the Files app
Open the Files app.
Tap on the three dots (⋯) at the top right.
Select “Scan Documents”.

Auto/Manual mode: By tapping “Auto” at the top, you can choose manual mode, where you will take photos manually with the shutter button.

Flash and color mode: From the Flash and color options (three circles) at the top, turn the flash on/off and choose the scanning mode (Color, Grayscale, B&W, Photo).

Press Save: The page is added to the note in Notes and saved as a PDF in Files (you may be asked for the location).

Scan documents from a Mac using an iPhone.

With the Continuity feature, you can use your iPhone as a scanner from Mac. Both devices must be signed in with the same Apple ID. Both devices must have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth turned on. Ctrl+Click where you want the scan to appear → Import from iPhone or iPad > Scan Documents.

Go to the File menu → Import from iPhone or iPad > Scan Documents. Go to the Insert menu → Import from iPhone or iPad > Scan Documents. This will open the scanner on the iPhone. When you click “Save,” the scan will appear directly on your Mac.
