Don’t Have a Ration Card? Here's How You Can Still Benefit from the Government’s Free Ration Scheme

The Uttar Pradesh government has begun distributing three months’ worth of ration in advance, including wheat, rice, and sugar, to eligible families across the state. The move is aimed at avoiding supply disruptions during the upcoming monsoon season.

The advance ration distribution, originally scheduled differently, officially started on May 25, 2025, and will continue through July 6, with staggered dates for June, July, and August quotas. Over 3.58 crore ration cardholders in UP can now collect their entitled supply from their local ration shops.

However, if you don’t yet have a ration card, you won’t be able to avail this benefit — unless you apply now.

Advance Ration Schedule in UP
  • June quota: May 25 – June 5

  • July quota: June 10 – June 20

  • August quota: June 25 – July 6

This advance ration scheme is part of the state's strategy to support low-income families during unpredictable weather months.
