SmackDown April 25 results: Zelina Vega is the new US champion

WWE SmackDown April 25 results: Zelina Vega beat Chelsea Green on the latest episode of SmackDown to become the new WWE US champion. This is the first time she has held singles gold in the promotion. 

WWE SmackDown: Zelina Vega wins the US title

Chelsea Green defended the US title against Zelina Vega on the latest edition of SmackDown. The champ had Secret Hervice (Piper Niven and Alba Fyre) in her corner. The match proved to be a watchable affair, which saw both ladies give a good account of themselves.

 Secret Hervice got involved in the closing moments of the contest but got caught by the referee, who asked them to head back to the locker room. Following this, Green momentarily gained the upper hand. However, Zelina Vega hit her with Code Red to seal the deal and win her first singles title. 

Zelina Vega is no stranger to Chelsea Green

Last week, Zelina Vega defeated Chelsea Green in a non-title match in which the Secret Hervice was banned from the ringside area. The week before that, she beat the now former champion by countout. Given this, her big win on tonight’s show was pretty much on the cards.
