Abundantia Entertainment and Collective Media Network’s Historyverse have announced a theatrical film on popular Hindu deity Hanuman, to be created using artificial intelligence in what is being described as a first-of-its-kind project.
Titled Chiranjeevi Hanuman – The Eternal, the film is scheduled for release on Hanuman Jayanti in 2026. The project draws from the Ramayana and Purāṇic texts and aims to present a modern visual retelling of Hanuman’s story on a large scale.
The production will be powered by Galleri5, the tech division of Collective Artists Network, which has deployed more than 50 engineers to work alongside cultural scholars and literary experts. The film’s soundtrack will be composed by Trilok, described as the world’s first AI-powered band, known for combining Indian spiritual traditions with contemporary sound.
Vikram Malhotra, Founder and CEO of Abundantia Entertainment, said the project builds on the company’s legacy of backing uniquely Indian stories.
“From Airlift to Shakuntala Devi and from Toilet – Ek Prem Katha to Ram Setu, Abundantia has proudly and successfully championed uniquely Indian stories and storytellers. With innovation in our DNA, we constantly push boundaries of storytelling possibilities, and I am delighted that we are partnering with Vijay and his amazing team at Collective to harness cutting-edge tech and tools to tell one of India’s most iconic stories – the story of Lord Hanuman – in a never-before manner. Hanuman Ji is not just a God and a beacon of our culture but he is also a symbol of eternal faith, devotion and strength for hundreds of millions of his worshippers around the world. We take the responsibility of telling this story with immense gratitude and humility and look forward to a fulfilling journey,” he said.
Vijay Subramaniam, Founder and Group CEO of Collective Artists Network, said the collaboration reflects the company’s focus on the intersection of culture, creators and technology.
“With this film, we have the extraordinary opportunity to reimagine cultural storytelling for an audience that cherishes both tradition and innovation. Our approach is rooted in authenticity and cultural stewardship, ensuring complete transparency about the role of AI in the creative process. We are thrilled to partner with Vikram and the incredible team at Abundantia Entertainment on this landmark project, combining our shared passion for storytelling with next-generation tools to bring this epic to life like never before,” he said.
The film is planned for worldwide release across major international markets. Producers said it will combine the scale of epic storytelling with AI artistry to create an immersive cinematic experience.
