London Plane Crash VIDEO: Massive Fireball Erupts At Southend Airport As Small Aircraft Crashes Shortly After Take-Off

London, July 13: In a shocking incident, a Beech B200 Super King Air aircraft crashed shortly after take-off at Southend Airport in London today afternoon. The horrific incident was caught on camera and the video of the incident is doing rounds on social media. It can be seen in the video that a massive fireball erupted soon after the accident occurred. The emergency services rushed to the spot as thick smoke was seen emanating from the burning wreckage of the plane. It is unclear how many people were onboard the aircraft at the time of the crash.

As per reports, the aircraft was a twin-engined turboprop bound for Lelystad in Netherlands. The flight was scheduled to take-off at around 3.45 PM. The plane normally carried 12 passengers. The people present at the spot described the incident absolutely tragic and there are claims that few of them waved at the crew members just before the disaster.

The Essex Police issued statement over the tragic incident at London Southend Airport and said, "We remain on the scene of a serious incident at Southend Airport. We were alerted shortly before 4pm to reports of a collision involving one 12-metre plane."

The police also stated, "We are working with all emergency services at the scene now and that work will be ongoing for several hours. We would please ask the public to avoid this area where possible while this work continues."

They also said, "As a precaution due to their proximity to the incident, we are evacuating the Rochford Hundred Golf Club and Westcliff Rugby Club. Updates will be issued as soon as is possible."
