On Tuesday, passengers on Bhayandar-bound local train from Churchgate found a dog hiding under a seat of the AC train. The passengers informed the railway police force (RPF) about the dog at Andheri station. However, according to the commuters, it could not be rescued due to overcrowded train.
The dog, believed to be a pet dog, was finally rescued by RPF at Bhayandar, where the train terminated and was taken to the station master’s office. The rescuers are now trying to connect with NGOs to find a safe shelter for the dog until its owners are found.
