Superstar Shah Rukh Khan's much-anticipated MET Gala 2025 debut turned into a full-blown spectacle even before the Bollywood icon set foot on the red carpet. The superstar, making history as the first male Bollywood actor to attend the prestigious fashion event, was mobbed outside his hotel, creating a frenzy that's now lighting up social media.

Several now-viral videos show his ecstatic supporters crowding outside Carlyle Hotel in New York, chanting Shah Rukh's name and screaming as they waited to catch a glimpse of their idol.

Dressed in a custom black ensemble by designer Sabyasachi, Shah Rukh emerged to deafening cheers.

Before stepping into his car en route to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Shah Rukh took a moment to acknowledge the overwhelming love. He waved, blew kisses, and even shook hands with a few lucky fans, a gesture that sent the crowd into a euphoric roar.

Fans online were quick to react. One user posted, on X (formerly known as Twitter), "And the man of the moment, King Khan, is here to light up the MET! We all know when the crowd goes this crazy, it can only be SRK."

Another fan wrote, "Only Shah Rukh Khan can bring this kind of energy to a fashion even. He didn't just attend the MET Gala, he owned it before even getting there."

"OMGGG the crazeeeeee," commented another user.

Shah Rukh made history at the MET Gala 2025 as the first male actor from the Hindi film industry to walk the prestigious red carpet. Dressed in a striking creation by renowned Indian designer Sabyasachi, the actor brought a blend of elegance, humility, and charm to fashion's biggest night.

He opted for a custom-designed all-black tailored suit. However, what truly stole the spotlight was his striking layered jewellery featuring a dazzling set of gold chains anchored by an oversized 'K' pendant, honouring his icoic title 'King Khan'.

Shah Rukh joined fellow Indian celebrities Priyanka Chopra, Kiara Advani, and Diljit Dosanjh at this year's event, which celebrated the theme Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.
