A sensational case has come to light from Madhya Pradesh's capital Bhopal, where 29-year-old Ritika Sen was strangled to death by her live-in partner Sachin Rajput. After the murder, the accused not only wrapped the body in a blanket and kept it on the bed, but also kept sleeping next to the body in the same room for two days, as if nothing had happened.

The incident took place on the night of June 27 in Bajaria police station area. Both of them, who lived in Gayatri Nagar, Kararia Farm area, had an argument that night. Ritika worked in a private firm, while Sachin was unemployed these days and suspected Ritika of having an affair with her boss. The matter escalated so much that Sachin strangled Ritika to death.

After the murder, Sachin wrapped Ritika's body in a blanket and sheet and placed it on the bed. Then he stayed in the same room, kept drinking alcohol and slept near the body for two days. According to the police, Sachin is already married and is the father of two children. The police have arrested the accused and a case of murder has been registered.

Murder under influence of alcohol

On Sunday, Sachin told his friend Anuj about the murder under the influence of alcohol, but his friend took it lightly. On Monday morning, when he repeated the same thing again, Anuj got suspicious and called Dial-100 at 5 pm and informed the police. When the Bajaria police station reached the spot, as soon as the door was opened, Ritika's body wrapped in a blanket was found on the bed. Everything that Sachin had told turned out to be true.

Both were in live-in relationship for three and a half years

Police station in-charge Shilpa Kaurav told NDTV that the woman's name is Ritika Singh, who lived here with her boyfriend Sachin Rajput. They are residents of Siroj in Vidisha district and were in a live-in relationship for three and a half years. They were living at the place where the incident happened for 9-10 months.

He told that both of them had a fight on 27th June, which escalated so much that the accused strangled his girlfriend to death and then tied the body in a blanket and left. According to the police, when the accused told this to his friend while intoxicated, his friend did not believe it, but when he told him after the intoxication wore off, the friend told the police. Police said, 'He came to us, after which we took action.'
