England Lionesses' romantic love lives from team-mate relationships to famous partners

The pressure is on for England ahead of the upcoming Women's Euros, with the Lionesses heading into the tournament as the defending champions. They jetted out to Switzerland earlier this week ahead of their opening game against France on Saturday. They will also face the Netherlands and Wales in the group stage and will be hoping for three wins from as many games.

England lifted the trophy at Wembley four years ago, beating Germany in the final with Chloe Kelly scoring a dramatic winner. It will be a different level of pressure on this occasion, given that other sides will be looking at the Lionesses as the team to beat. The players will not be the only ones feeling the heat, with their partners nervously watching on from the stands.

Leah Williamson appears to be dating Elle Smith, a journalist and model who was crowned Miss USA in 2021. The pair had been romantically linked for some time before seemingly confirming their relationship on Instagram.

Earlier this year, Smith posted a video of herself relaxing on the sea with Williamson alongside the caption: "happy birthday my love x." They also cuddled up for a picture after Arsenal's recent triumph in the Women's Champions League.

Chloe Kelly

Chloe Kelly's partner is Scott Moore, who she married in 2024. The happy couple tied the knot in a stunning ceremony at Merrydale Manor in Cheshire.

They live together with their pet dog, Otis, and Scott will likely be in attendance for the Euros after flying out to Australia for the last Women's World Cup.

Beth Mead

Beth Mead will find herself in a bizarre situation at the Euros when she plays against her partner Vivianne Miedema. They have been together since 2022 but will be going up against each other when England face the Netherlands, having previously been team-mates for Arsenal.

Earlier this week, Mead told BBC Sport: "It was inevitable. When the draw was made, we both sat there and said: 'Of course that's happened'. We're both excited for the tournament and to be able to play in it again."

Jess Carter

Mead is not the only England player to be dating a fellow footballer. Jess Carter has been engaged to Ann-Katrin Berger, her team-mate at Gotham FC, since last summer.

They have been together since 2017 and played against each other at the Euros four years ago, with Berger lining up between the sticks for Germany in the final.

Ella Toone

Ella Toone is also dating a footballer in Joe Bunney, who currently plays for non-league outfit Stalybridge Celtic. They have been together since 2022 after being introduced to each other by mutual friends.

There may be some awkwardness when it comes to derby day, given that Toone plays for Manchester United and Bunney is an ardent supporter of Manchester City.

Alex Greenwood

Alex Greenwood will be supported during the Euros by her partner Jack O'Connell, who has plenty of Premier League appearances under his belt. He spent most of his career at Sheffield United before hanging up his boots in 2023.

The pair grew up together as childhood sweethearts on Merseyside, meeting each other at their sixth-form college in Bootle. O'Connell was in the stands at the last World Cup and there is a good chance he will be supporting Greenwood at the Euros.
