Strictly Come Dancing stars announce engagement three years after meeting on BBC show

Two stars of Strictly Come Dancing have announced they are engaged. Tyler West proposed to Molly Rainford during a romantic holiday in Mykonos, Greece, last week. The couple first met when they competed on the BBC programme in 2022 before going public with their relationship the following year. Taking to Instagram with an emotional video, the joint post read: "Found our forever. 10.8.2025." The footage began with Tyler and Molly approaching a balcony looking over the sea to watch the sun set.

As the EastEnders actress, 24, posed for a snap on her own, Tyler got on one knee behind her. As the photographer asked Molly to turn around, she could be seen putting her hand over her mouth in shock. The radio presenter, 29, said: "I don't know where to start." Not all of Tyler's speech was shared, but he later added: "So I'm hoping you can continue making me the luckiest man on this Earth, like you do every single day. So baby... will you marry me?"

Accepting Tyler's proposal, the emotional couple shared a kiss. "This is not real," the soap star sobbed. An ecstatic Tyler then punched the air as he exclaimed: "Yes! Get in! That's what I'm talking about."

The former Britain's Got Talent star looked sensational in a crop top and skirt co-ord, teamed with a pair of wedges. While Tyler cut a dapper figure in a partially open shirt and a pair of cream trousers.

The couple's friends rushed to the comments to congratulate them, including several stars of Strictly Come Dancing.

Vito Coppola penned: " Omg Guyyyyyysss. Super congratulations. It's amazing." Gorka Marquez added: "OMG!!! congratulations."

Former contestant Fleur East gushed: The most beautiful proposal. Congratulations to you both xxxxxxxx." Carlos Gu posted: "Yes yes yes!!! Couldn't be more happy for you two. The cutest couple xx."

Luba Mushtuk and Motsi Mabuse also shared congratulatory messages as well as Dianne Buswell and Nancy Xu.

In 2022, Tyler was partnered with Dianne, 36, while Molly and Carlos, 32, reached the final. Their relationship turned romantic when they performed together on the Strictly Come Dancing tour.

After months of speculation, the pair confirmed they were dating in March 2023 and announced they had moved in together in early 2024.
