If you own a new Galaxy phone, there's very good news. It appears that Samsung is getting ready to unleash its latest and greatest operating system on a number of devices, and that means some shiny new features are on their way. One UI 8 - which superseeds One UI 7 - is already coming pre-installed on the very latest Galaxy Z Flip7 and ZFold 7 devices. Now it's being released - via an online update - on the Galaxy 25 range as well.
"One UI 8 will begin rolling out to other devices in September, starting with the Galaxy S25 series," Samsung confirmed.
"By taking the synergy between AI and Samsung's foldable form factors to new heights, the new user interface promises to open up new possibilities for everyday life."
Once it becomes available, it will add a swathe of smart upgrades to devices, including a refreshed and 'sophisticated' look plus improved smart features such as Audio Eraser, which removes background noise from videos.
"Take your Galaxy experience to the next level with the reimagined One UI 8," Samsung confirmed.
"Blending AI-powered new features with a refined look, One UI 8 empowers you to unlock the full potential of your Galaxy and your everyday life."
Other devices, including the Galaxy S24 and S23 will also get access to One UI 8 at some point in the future although a full rollout schedule is yet to be confirmed.
Hopefully, Samsung will announce exact dates and what features will be included very soon. Watch this space.
It's going to be a busy month for the Korean technology company. It's also been confirmed that a new device is launching this week.
"Join us on September 4 to discover a more seamless mobile experience across a wider range of devices - from premium AI tablets to the newest member of the Galaxy S25 family," Samsung confirmed.
We'll have to wait and see exactly what's in store, but Express.co.uk will be at the event and will bring you all the latest news as it happens.
