Private candidates slightly outperform institutional candidates
An interesting trend emerged in the Class 12 results this year, as private candidates outperformed institutional candidates, although marginally. Private students recorded a pass percentage of 81.28%, slightly higher than institutional candidates, who achieved a pass percentage of 81.15%. The difference of just 0.13% marked a rare occasion where private candidates did better than institutional students.
Despite this, the majority of successful candidates were institutional students. Out of the total successful candidates, 20,38,884 were institutional students, while 69,890 were private candidates.
Last year, the Class 12th pass percentage stood at 82.66%, with 20.26 lakh of 24.52 lakh students qualifying. Anu Dhakrey from Agra topped with 485 marks. This year, students await similar competitive outcomes. For those dissatisfied with their scores, re-evaluation applications will open post-result, costing Rs 500 per subject. Compartment exams for students failing one or two subjects are planned for July 2025.
Original marksheets must be collected from schools, as online results are provisional. Students should rely on official UPMSP websites for accurate updates and beware of fraudulent claims.
