Lewis Hamilton may be struggling with his form this season, but the 40-year-old F1 champion clearly has long-term plans at Ferrari. His latest luxurious purchase in Milan is proof, as he will now be staying closer to Ferrari’s Maranello factory, which is 191 km from the Italian city that is also known as Europe’s richest district within any city. Needless to say, Hamilton is surely going to spend most of his time here.

Lewis Hamilton buys new house in Italy’s MilanAccording to the Italian publication Corriere della Sera, Lewis Hamilton has purchased a house in Milan's Porta Nuova district, where the average home costs around £1.2 million. PlanetF1 had earlier reported that he was considering houses in Modena and Bologna but ultimately chose Milan. Porta Nuova, named after a gate built in 1810, is famous for housing Italy’s tallest building, the Unicredit Tower.

Hamilton owns several luxurious properties across the UK, the US, and Europe. When he is not racing, he prefers to reside at his £11.8 million mansion in Monaco, which is also home to many F1 drivers, including Max Verstappen. He also owns a £18.2 million house in his hometown of Kensington, a luxurious lake-facing residence in Switzerland, a penthouse in Manhattan, and a ranch in Colorado.

Lewis Hamilton’s struggles at FerrariBack in F1, Hamilton is struggling to find comfort in his Ferrari car, despite efforts to customise it to resemble the design he was used to at Mercedes. His contract does not allow him to quit so soon. He described the latest race in Jeddah as a horrible experience: “It was not enjoyable at all. At the moment there’s no fix. This is how it’s going to be for the rest of the year, so it’s pretty painful,” he said, according to Fox Sports.
