BHOPAL: A 17-year-old Class 12 student died by suicide at her village home in Madhya Pradesh's Damoh district Friday afternoon, leaving behind a suicide note in which she accused her uncle of sexual harassment and sought legal action against him.
The girl's father had gone to Hata tehsil for work when he received a call from his son around 1.30 pm about the death. "When we reached home, she was still breathing. She died while being taken to hospital... She had many dreams. We had no idea that she was under so much pressure," he said.
Police said, "The postmortem was conducted Saturday morning. Statements from family members will be recorded after the funeral. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway."
