Sony Xperia 1 VII Design and Colour Options Leak via Taiwan's NCC Website

Sony’s upcoming flagship smartphone, the Xperia 1 VII, appears to have surfaced online ahead of its official release. Live images spotted on Taiwan’s NCC certification website reveal key design elements and color variants of the anticipated device.

Sony Xperia 1 VII: Live Images Reveal Minimal Design Changes

Japanese tech blog Sumaho Digest shared live photos reportedly sourced from Taiwan’s National Communications Commission (NCC) website, showcasing the Sony Xperia 1 VII in three color options — black, navy green, and purple.
The images suggest that Sony will retain a triple rear camera setup, arranged vertically, similar to its predecessor, the Xperia 1 VI. The much-loved 3.5mm headphone jack remains intact, confirming Sony’s continued focus on audiophile-friendly features.

The leaked model is associated with the XQ-FSxx number, and the main camera is expected to feature an advanced Exmor-T sensor at the center position.

Sony Xperia 1 VII: Dimensions and Display Details

According to the NCC listing, the Xperia 1 VII will measure 165mm in height and 74mm in width, making it slightly taller than the Xperia 1 VI, which stood at 162mm tall.
A recent leak also indicated that the new flagship will retain the 6.5-inch display size, but with larger bezels at the top and bottom, staying true to Sony’s signature design approach.

Additionally, the Xperia 1 VII is rumored to debut with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, marking a significant performance upgrade from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 found in the Xperia 1 VI.

A Look Back at Xperia 1 VI Specifications

Launched in May 2024, the Sony Xperia 1 VI came equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, a triple camera array featuring a 48MP Exmor T main sensor, and a 5,000mAh battery with 30W fast charging support. It offered a 12MP selfie camera and was priced starting at EUR 1,299 (approximately Rs. 1,17,400).

With the Xperia 1 VII, Sony seems poised to offer incremental upgrades while maintaining the design philosophy and feature set that fans of the Xperia series appreciate.
